Thread Chasers
High speed Steel Precision Ground Projection Type Chasers that fit Geometric style EJ-5 and 5/16DSA heads are made in our size range of 40 to 400 TPI and metric*. They are single point ground to a sharp "Vee" for maximum major diameter clearance and close lead and angle control with all dimensions held to very precise tolerances insuring the utmost accuracy in the finished part. Prices for popular sizes in the 5/16DSA style are noted below and other thread sizes and EJ-5 style will be quoted to order. We need to know the major diameter, thread pitch, die head style and material and length to be cut as well as the quantity required.

*Chasers must be used with a suitable die head available in many tool rooms and model shops.
They can also be purchased from any industrial supplies distributor who carries the Geometric line.
Threading Dies
Morris threading dies are suitable for hand use only in prototype work as they have not been processed with the extra steps needed for productions quality where chasers meet the requirements. They are three prong, ring adjustable style with a 7/32" shank diameter made from carbon steel and can be used in a Morris tap and die holder. Sizes available are 00-90, 0-80, 1-72 and 2-56.

An aluminum holder complete with four tap bushings 00-90, 0-80, 1-72 and 2-56 taps and bored to hold the 7/32" O.D. threading dies with set screw and key.
